Winchester

Late summer bank holiday weekend finds us in the historic town of Winchester

Winchester Cathedral was built in 7th century, its £7 to get in, so we walk around the outside

but the old palace (12th Century) is free

and you can run around and climb and play

Gower Peninsula



The Gower Peninsula was the first place in Britian to be designated 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' in 1949



it rains a lot so we sat in the car

Swansea in the distance

when it didnt rain, it was excellent fun

Blackpill Lido, right on the beach
