Barnes Wetland Centre

We are so very fortunate in south west London, there are so many major London attractions right on our door step. Kew Gardens, Hampton Court Palace, Richmond Park to name but a few. There's also Barnes Wetland Centre, which is basically a big ruddy swamp. London used to be covered in big boggy swamps. In fact Houndsditch is so named because people used to throw their dead dogs there. Now you have to pay to get in to the last few remaining swamps.

But its the biggest ruddest boggest swamp in Europe and a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a great place to see tits

Peregrines and Redshank.
